BDSM is very interesting to many people who are either interested in giving up control or taking it. BDSM is all about power dynamics, which means that dominant and submissive roles are crucial. In a BDSM scene, one person will take on the role of being submissive, sometimes shortened to sub, and the other will take on the role of being dominant, sometimes shortened to Dom or Domme. To be a good submissive, you have to be willingly offering up control to a Dom, who will then take it and handle it with respect. Subs can always withdraw their consent, at which point a Dom needs to give that control back. People are submissives for many different reasons. One of the most common reasons is that giving up control can be incredibly cathartic for some people.
